Kneel into the nitty-gritty things of cleaning up!
After this long warm summer with endless parties at Mauerpark, the grass is downtrodden and full of cigarette butts & bottle caps – not great for our furry friends and even less so for our environment.
We want to activate as many people as possible to pick up this litter on World Cleanup Day in designated parts of the park. Five people on average can collect 1,000 cigarette butts in 30 minutes – imagine how many we can collect if we are a big group. So spread the word!
Meetup is at the Schönwetter bar at the entrance of Mauerpark, Bernauer Str. 63 (https://goo.gl/maps/ovCxwrSh73tzWFWT6) at 11am. If you arrive later, look out for a group of people on the right side of the park working their way through the grass.
We will provide plastic bags, some latex gloves in different sizes, and electronic music for good vibes. If you have reusable working or garden gloves, please bring them along with a strong stick, screw driver, or similar to get the bottle caps out of the soil.
We can have a drink together at the end to celebrate our achievement.
